How often have the following statements applied to you?

1. You would love to purchase a digital element or paper, but don’t want to spend money to only use it once or twice because you feel limited with the color palette.

2. You found a scrapbook paper or element where you loved the design and style, but it just wasn’t the right color?

This tutorial will solve both those problems for you. Once you master this simple technique, you will be able to expand your digital scrapbooking supplies and do so much more with so much less money and time.

Today, Number 2 applied to me.

I wanted to scrap a page of my dog when she was a puppy.  I had a photo of her playing “dollhouse” with her kids.  I wanted the page theme to be light, airy, summery, and playful.  I wanted to use my “Puffy Felt Letters Kit” but the colors were more of an Autumn look than a summery look. Not a problem, because in a few simple steps I can change the color to exactly the colors I need.

I took these puffy felt letters in these colors:

and easily changed them in PhotoShop to these letters:

And I am going to show you how you too can change the colors on this kit and any other kit you already own.

Before I get started, I wanted to make available to you the kits I used to make this layout.  There are several choices for you to use.

1. If you want to use the entire Puffy Felt Letters Kit from A to Z and Punctuation so you can change the words on your layout and also change the colors like I did, you can get the kit here:

2. Or you can get the kit with all the elements used in the layout at the beginning of the post you can get that here:

And of course, you can always use what you already have and follow along the tutorial that will show you how to re-colorize designs you already own.
